you should have like a picture at the end of it or a youtube or something.. obviously not every story will necessarily have something fitting but it does make reading large chunks of text more bareable. I wish NG had like an alert system or something... like facebook dare i say. where you have some way of knowing when someone worthwhile has made a new post or whatever.

I agree, and a log of what user-pages you've posted in that doesn't add onto your post count would be very useful.
I did put a youtube at the end of one of my stories, it ended up with 5 replies from 4 different people relevant to the story; but I'll consider it in the future. The problem is, I really can't draw and I don't like posting youtubes for the hell of it. I like it to fit into the story one way or another so it doesn't break the flow. Sort of like reading a relaxing story only for a link to Megadeth or something similar.

Don't write a story if all you want is praise. I enjoyed your stories. I enjoyed Tramps stories. The stories of the both of you faints slightly when compared to Earfetish'es.

I write stories for my own personal enjoyment, but I host them up on websites so people can read them, comment and constructively (not destructively) criticise. I don't expect praise but I usually have a rough idea how many people are reading by the number of relevant comments to the story. By the last one, I ended up just annoyed.
It didn't help matters I was unfairly banned at the time and I had pissed off someone I had liked, trusted and respected.
